Once a year we make our annual pilgrimage to what is known as the county fair! When you really stop to think about it, it is kind of a crazy thing! You pay money to put your most prize possessions (your children) on rattle trap rides run by people who you are not sure are even lucid! As your kids laugh and scream you hold your breath and pray they will come out on the other side unscathed! We are still lucky in that Layne and John-Isaac still like the “kiddy” rides and are still afraid of the big rides. I hope that holds out for a while! They rode all the rides they wanted to ride, we visited the petting zoo, walked through the exhibits and topped off the night with a fried snickers and funnel cake. Thank goodness it only comes once a year!!
