Okay, I will be the first to admit I was not happy with the decision to change the name of our precious ASU Indians to the Red Wolves. I seriously had my doubts! After all I have been going to “Indian” games since I was a baby. I remember when they had the horse that ran from one end of the field to the other every time they scored a touchdown! The picture above was taken at one of the last “Indian” football games last year. As a person who is not a fan of change, I just couldn’t imagine getting behind anything else! But, I am happy to report that the Red Wolves have won me over! I even own a T-shirt!!
We were excited to attend the first ever Red Wolves home game last Saturday. We started with a wonderful tailgate with family and friends, and then it was on to the game. There were a lot of firsts! Red even brought out his new friend Howl the wolf. Layne cannot wait to meet him! It was a great game. The Red Wolves scored the most points ever scored in a game since 1917! WOW! It was a great day and we can’t wait to do it all again next Saturday!!
